I know that most GM's do not use ARC pistols (mine does, read my fan-fiction), but here is my progress on them so far. I know that these ARC pistols are not even CLOSE to being done (I have some cool ideas that I am going to flesh out on these pistols), but I would like a few opinions on them. I have designed to DIFFERENT pistol types: one that looks more like the toon, and one that is an interpretation of the toon intended to look more real (more like the DC-15S carbine).
I think I know which way I am going to make the final design (kind of a combination of both), but I still would like to know what everyone thinks. Basically what I am going for is an ARC pistol that is close enough to the toon to be recognizable but doesn't look out of place on a trooper who might look like he is directly out of the movie.
Here's what I am saying about each:
TOON: Better feeling grip (size wise, not too short for my hands). I like the design but a little too much like the toon in my opinion. Not real enough looking.
"REAL": Looks cooler (design wise) than the toon version (closer to the DC carbine grip design) but too short of a grip (my hand feels cramped).

Like I said, I am probably going to combine the things I like about each into one final awesome kick-butt design, but any thoughts or suggestions before I start cutting the final design from wood would be appreciated.
Also, I am going to make TWO of each (like Captain Fordo) and wire both of them up with an LED that will light when the trigger is pulled. I am also going to cover both of them in styrene on ALL the wood edges to make it look a little more realistic.
Please comment.
