Hey everyone, I have access thru my business to a laser cutter and I get alot of other parts done thru my source. I was wondering if there would be an interest in getting laser cut aluminum belt buckles and possibly the knee greeblies? If I could get enough interest I'd be willing to do a run of parts for the members here at "cost". Cost would of course depend on the number interested but for parts this small it should be very reasonable plus I can lump it in with one of my other orders which may lower the price further. If you are genuinely interested please post here 1. irricanian 2.humblebumble-wampa of death 3. tuskenj 4.sgtcarida 5. darkjawas 6. Commandervoltaire 7. apollo 8. toyhunter80s 9. shadoweclipse13here is what I had in mind for the buckles, please excuse the crude drawing How do these dimensions look? Do any of them require changes?

Laser cut would be an awesome !!! Others would have to confirm the dimensions as I'm not totally up to speed on the smaller parts of the GM at this time.

I think your dimensions are pretty good, most of the belts that I have seen are 3" so it works out well

I'm with Mr. Bumble here, I don't know about stuff like that (like dimensions) but it looks pretty good (even as just a simple drawing) so count me in for a set.

I am interested. Besides the base belt I have no other belt parts. This would get me going.

Okay, looks like enough interest for these so I'm going to go ahead and get prices from my laser cutter today. Should hear back from him by Monday and I will post costs then, then we can firm up who's in and the quantities.
Anyone have some insight into the knee greeblie? Dimensions?
I'll keep you guys posted....

you can find the dimensions somewhere in the armor thread, I think. PGHFett had some laser cut earlier and I believe he posted his dimensions here

Okay guys, I just heard back from my laser cutter. The buckles are going to be $21.60 shipped for one set (two buckles) .This price includes: * the two buckles which consists of a 1/4" thick lower half with the loop and a 1/8" cap piece (so the buckle is in two parts essentially) and will need to be apoxied together. * Paypal fees * Bubble envelope for shipping and postage cost for light packet delivery to US and Canada (International will be $2.00 more) Pretty good price for such a small run. Will be ready first week of January so I won't be taking payments until I have them in hand so save up yer Christmas dough I'll see what I can work out for the knee greeblie and we can possibly add it in for a few bucks more. Here's the buckle drawing showing the two parts

Yeah, price wise, still count me in for a set. $22 is pretty good for laser cut. The knee greeblie, has already been made. I don't know if the guy still makes them, but either Mike or I could ask him. He was a pretty nice guy and the price was pretty good. They rock. I think there are some pics of them up here somewhere. Check in one of Mike's thread (I think about the knee pad/plate) from awhile ago.

awesome, the timing is perfect for me so you can count me in (at least one set, maybe two). Thanks for making these!
