Welcome Ashton, glad to see you found us!
I met Ashton over the Christmas holidays and found him to be a class act and a gentleman. He was able to flesh out in a matter of minutes some ideas I threw at him, not only for the GM pauldrons/mantle, but also for a Republic Commando chest mantle, which I think is on his table next. I am just waiting for the paycheck to hit the bank before I order one of these.

Yeah, I agree. I'm new to his creations seeing most of them for only the 2nd time on his web site and they are - by far - the best leather work parts I've seen in all my years in the hobby. Very nice stuff and unique in some cases. Artwork plain and simple.

I think I have an interest in the larger ones. I initially thought I wanted the smaller ones, but then I got to thinking... If I get the smaller one, and they are two small, I can't adjust them, really. But if I got the larger ones, and it was too large for my specs, I could always have my leather worker ajust them for me. Of course, there is a good possibility that they'd fit no problem without any alteration. So consider me highly interested for the 24" set.

Here are some updates on the NyghtCraft Galactic Marine Style Mantles.
Since the links have changed from the “Form Letter” some of you have gotten already I thought I’d post a few pics here.
Here is the Large;
The Large measures 24” across.
Here is the Medium;
The Medium measures 20” across.
Here they are together for a size comparison;
They are made with 4 different kinds of leather ; heavy soft leather for the outer top portion, heavier soft leather for the outer underside portion, with firm 7-8 oz. leather inside the "quilted" portions, trimmed with a thinner soft leather edging .
They also have a pair of Velcro straps attached that come to you very long so may trim them as you see fit.
Please feel free to contact me for any details directly through my website’s contact page at www.nyghtcraft.com
A special thanx to Ian for requesting one of these and posting info to start with.

paypal sent for smaller 20" pauldron You may be happy to know that your Medium Mantle is on the way...
This is really insanely fast turn around on this... The fact is that I had the Medium in the works prior to your order... so you got the first one.
I am not in any kind of financial position to stock items... each piece is made once the order is placed... the money paid goes to getting the materials needed... but in this case I needed both a Large and a Medium to show...
Normally orders take longer... I say aproximately 4-8 weeks for delivery. This gives me time to get in all the materials needed and finish whatever orders are ahead of it (since I do orders chronologically).
I hope you like it when it gets to you in the next couple of days.
Thanx!

Ashton Synn NyghtCraft Leatherwerks TI/TX-6512 Ashton, and all the fellas here,
I received my mantle today and let me just say it is simply stunning.
The sewing, design, size(for me 20"), color is no less than excellent.
Each section due to the leather being (what I call) a supple type of leather, has independent movement to the perfect degree needed to be worn comfortably. The mantle is also very light in weight as well. The overall craftmanship is really, really good. I'm sort of at a loss for words, so I'll leave it at that. Excellent work.
If anyone is thinking about picking one of these up, think no more, if you got the funds for one you will not be dissapointed what-so-ever. The Nyghtcraft GM mantle will definitely take your costume to a new level.
Ill post a pic's when I get a break / chance.
Aston thank you for great service and a great product - you'll have to forgive me in advance but I'm gonna nag the heck of of you about making those BARC gloves

Thanx Mike!
Glad you are pleased!
Ian, you should be seeing yours on Monday. Hope you are happy with it as well.
Also... Thanx to Bret for being the first to send me the pic of the upcoming GM action figure! It was because of that image that I could really sus out how to connect those two shoulder pads... I was never entirely sure if they were independant or joined. Though the action figures are not always the most perfect canon source we can't exactly go to an exhibit to veiw the costume that was worn in the film... so I went with that. Thanx Bret!

Mike, take a pic of it on your shoulders, I want to see how the smaller one fits on a person. Maybe even hold up that BARC shoulder bell to your shoulder as well.

I'm actually gonna put on the chest plate and the bells while wearing a black undersuit. The parts are unpainted white plastic, but this might actually "set it off" for size comparison.
will do Capt.

That would be great!
My manaquin is very slight... so it is hard to determine what the size on armor would be by my pics.
Looking forward to seeing your pics!
