I really glad he totally ignored my email. I wonder if I even sent him an email asking to buy one if he's respond to it. It's wonder that some people get his products.
Can you tell I'm a bit irritated at his lack of communication?
Guh... some people... Regardless, does he have a price? I might be interested, though there is a good chance they are too big. Because he doesn't seem to take smaller (aka, normal) framed people into consideration. If he's open to adjusted measurements, that'd be a single redeaming factor.

I *think* it will be $140 + shipping. I told him I was definitely interested in one, and that I would send him money on Friday, just give me the total.

Huh. I'm genuinely surprised and delighted. I just got a reply, and since it's all the info on the GM mantle he offers, I'm posting it here:

Hello everyone!
I am here by Captain Ferin's emailed invitation.
I would like to thank you for what you have had to say, and to pghfett for your order... I will begin work shortly.
There is one notable exception to my thanx and well wishings here.
In particular I mean the person who emailed me once and insisted his design specifications upon my craft... then publicly attacked my means of income here rather than attempting to contact me again... the afore mentioned Captain Ferin.
I am not sure how to respond to your comments... True... your recent email went unanswered... If I took the time to answer every single message that I get I would never get my customer's pieces made and sent... and yes they do get their orders.
Yes, all the messages are important, however my job requires more time behind an anvil or a giant sewing machine than most peoples jobs do today… I do not work in an IT department… I am a designer who has always designed and created his own products... I am also not in the business of teaming up with people on designs as you suggested in said email.
There are often reasons why an email is not responded to... time, computer issues, eye strain, or the emails content. The fact is, that unless it is in my spam box, no email is ignored... and I look those over once a week too... Occasionally I am told of an email I have never recieved...
I am a one person operation doing the work of a team... I sometimes require a little patience… I’m like a person that way…
I have recently gotten back on line after 6 months of internet down time due to phone line and isp issues. I am still sorting through months of messages and have yet to get back to all of the forums I am a member of. There are some people whose order records have gotten lost during that time... though their pieces are here and ready for shipment once we find each other... My clients get their orders! I do not appreciate the insinuation that they don't! I know of plastic armor makers who do far less work on their products and take far, far longer on their orders than I do and they are still praised.
I believe your comments to be out of line and an apology is in order, Mr. Reimer…
To everyone else, Thanx again. I look forward to any orders you may place... each one will be created with the level of care, craftsmanship, and respect you expect.
I may not be able to get onto this forum very frequently… too many forums to keep track of… For more regular communications I can be found on the 501st Legion forum as TX-6512 and my website’s contact page ( www.nyghtcraft.com ) sends emails directly to me. I will do my best to respond.

Thanks Aston, I'm really looking forward to getting the pauldron, you do fantastic work and this leatherwork is no less than beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to help out the GM's currently building costumes. We are small in number but you decided to make them for us anyway, thank you.

I'd just like to let you, Ashton, know that you did a beautiful job on the pauldron. I've been to your website before, and was awed by your leatherworking skills. I probably won't be able to afford one for a long while, but I'm glad you're doing a smaller version as well.

I do apologize, now having heard from you and seen your explanation. My irritation has come from having sent several emails, not only about this project, but also from inquiries into other products in the past few months. Not hearing anything back while I other people on other forums obviously make contact with you (resulting in sales) is certainly very irritating. I'm not sure if you can relate. Perhaps an auto-reply function on your web applet will prevent this from happening in the future with anyone else. Something along the lines of a generalized version of your explanation, alerting the inquirer to a potential lack of response. No response at all leads people to believe things like "he's igoring me" or something along those lines. Only a suggestion, but something like this would have certainly made me more patient or understanding. Again, I apologize.

Hey Ashton i would just like to say that even though i said nothing bad about you I still thought bad of you for not returning emails to the Captain. I feel I owe you an apology. I hope you will except this with my remorse Preston Nelson.
On a different note. I saw your stuff and I have to say I think that is pretty good. If it wasn't oversized for me and I hadn't already made my own then I might be tempted to get my self one. But alas I can't even afford it so you will have to live with one less order.

Thank you David. I appreciate and accept your appology.
Though I am now annoyed with my email system in general... I only ever recieved 2 emails from you that I can find... the one I mentioned before and your request for info on the mantle... that's it... I hate technology...
I'll certainly look into the auto reply... hopefully there will be a button that I can click that will make it simple... My general level of technology is "I got anvil. I got hammer."...
Thanx again.
Must get back to work.

I would like to turn the attention of the forum at large to the general section. I've posted an extensive formal apology. The error in my ways goes deeper than I explained in this thread, so I feel an apology to the entire forum (but mostly Nyghtcraft) was called for.
I'm just so embarrassed by this whole thing. You guys come to me for so much information from time to time, and I cannot allow myself to slip up like this. So if you guys get a chance, give it a read.
