Yeah. I didn't notice anything there on the CGI version, but it's just something I felt should be there for that reason - I didn't want it splitting further. I have it on the underside of the vinyl, and it's painted to match the underside as well.

Lets get some feedback here guys Captain Ferins is made out of vinyl and mine is made out of Winter Weight fleece what look do you guys like best? I don't care if you dis mine so go ahead and tell us what you think. Also keep in mind when thinking movie accuracy mine moves very freely whil captains moves alot more stiff.

Mine actually moves quite a bit. When the wind is pretty decent, mine is flowing all over the place. It's heavier, yes, but it still catches the wind.

I was thinking of making mine out of two pieces of vinyl. The movie kamas seem to have a "sheen" on them that seems more vinyl-y than anything. My snowtrooper duster is definitely too thin (1 layer of duck cloth) and I think you want to be a little heavier to amplify the movements and stuff.

On the belt boxes/pouches, the two front pouches are definitely unique to the GM, but I was looking closely at the white CGI model and it appears the two smaller side pouches are actually small clone trooper belt boxes. Anyone else see that? Box on the far left and right...(with the 2 nubs on it)

Ok I've captured larger pics for everybody. The first 4 are untouched. This one shows a comparison of the front GM boxes to the standard TC front boxes on Cody. If you look closely you'll notice that they are about the same size and shape. But the GM box has the slope on the bottom where as Cody's is on the top. Easy enough to fix. Flip the standard TC box over and cover it with vinyl. This one shows the side boxes. Again, I think covering one of the standard TC side boxes with vinyl would work out nicely. Also of note in this pic is the belly. It looks to me like the standard black under suit. Not grey like the pants. The kama also except for the color looks exactly like the standard Clone Commander kama including the strap attachment in the front. Ian here is what I would do with your armor for boxes. BTW how the hell are you supposed to cut those belt pieces apart without butchering them??? Would have been alot better if they had vac'd them separate.

The pic is courtesy of my local armorer (some of you prob know him). The belts get cut "flat" meaning there is no overhang on them. They will be zigzaged pieces of plastic when fully fabricated and separating them is not a problem. They are vacced like that to save space and plastic. The small boxes you were pointing to are exactly the ones I was eyeballing. Some shots show those little "bumpouts" at the top of the boxes.
Those are some great stills Bret! Couple of observations:
It appears that some of the GM's do only sport 2 bicep boxes (although the one to the right of Bacarra appears to have 3).
Anyone else notice the "hidden codpiece" under the pants? It can be seen in the 2nd still, far left GM. Appears to be a "cup" of some sort under his pants.
Finally, the GM getting shot (or hit with ricocheted bolt) appears to only have 3 ammo boxes on his bandolier. Maybe he had to reload!
I am working on my boots right now. Looks like I definitely have to build up the shoe with some vinyl to create a "boot", since the shin armor doesn't come down to the achilles' tendon on the back. I found an easy way to recolor the soles too, if anyone is looking for hints.

There are indeed only 3 ammo boxes on the chest strap. The 4th misc. box is actually a clip or slide or something. It lies close to the strap. Imagine something like the little metal clip on the airborne trooper's chest pauldron thing.

I don't like vinyl for the kama. I watched, watched, and rewatched the GM scene just last night and their kamas are quite lightweight. The wind really whips 'em around. I'm looking for a different material. Here's a couple samples I've picked up. So far the one in the middle is the closest I've found.

i like the one in the middle's color and the right one's texture. I'd take the right one and dye it a little

I'm with snowflake. I like the middle color with the right side material. I don't like felt (the middle looks like felt).

Oh, Lord no! I would never use felt for a professional costume. I'll have to get a better pic of the middle one. I have to admit, I'm a bit suprised you guys like the texture of the one on the right. I thought it might be too much. I'll have to consider that one some more. Thanx for the input so far, brothers!
