I recently was sent some nice ILM cg GM model pics. Some that I havent seen posted anywhere on the net. I Had to promise that I would not post these anywhere or send them to anyone. So I appologize in advance for not being able to post them. I am happy with my current GM design and if put togehter correctly looks close to the movie IMO. But there are new clearer details I see in the pics I got where some improvements could and should be made. The pics I got arent preproduction pics but the actual models used in the movie. So I will take my current helmet and improve upon it.There really isnt much to change but the changes I feel will make it even more accurate. We all know guys like me sculpting things from pics cant make it perfect but ill try my best to improve upon the current version. Although the improvements I want to do arent radical they will take time.Ill try and post pics here once these things are done.

Sounds ausome SGB you are gonna steal all of my sells now jk. Sounds ausome. Hey something I would point out is if you look at the screen stills and especially the sith snapshot you can see by the edge of the skirt part that the helmet is designed to be vac formed.

It's not designed to be anything in particular. It's a 3d model.

Well I know that I am not trying to say that "THAT IS THE WAY IT NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!!" I was saying it was very interesting because all the trilogy had vac formed armor and in the 3d model it was designed to have and edge to make it look like it was vac formed. Just take a look.

actually, that would probably be pretty easy to vac form. That's how almost all snowy helmets are made and since the basic design of a GM is so much less involved, it could probably be accomplished as a 2 piece kit (main helmet and face) instead of the snowy 3 piece (dome, shroud, and face). Young, that might be something you could tackle, a cheaper alternative to sgb's super accurate v2 fg.

I actually have been thinking about making a SUPER accurate Vac formed Helmet and then making my own "how I like it" FG helmet that I have almost ready for molding.

Jason
I'm just getting around to putting your V1 I got together  Can't wait to see the changes, and if those pics just happened to be accidentally sent to an anonymous mailbox, I won't mind.
Are you still planning on doing the GM undersuit? Any progress on that?

Allright I am going to start on a GM helmet vac former mold once I get atleast one of my FG helmets made. I am going to use the sith snapshot and a few certain movie stills as refernce and I will be using Snowtrooper measurements as a base to be modified.
Hey also sorry Jason I don't want to steal your thread I will keep to myself now

ok in the sith snapshot the colored one I believe its #1 on the right side cheek indent you can clearly see a vertical piece at the back of the cheek indent..but on the left you cant see one.Prob. because of the angle of the pic. IMO the GM figure is cool but not accurate. They dont even have a cheek indent just a slightly recessed tan area. It seems to me like the GM helmet do have a similar cheek indent like the standard E# clones do but not quite the same especially on the bottom of the indent.Anyway Im rambling I need to figuge this out before i can go further witht the V2 helmet design. The ILM pics I have show these areas but from a distance so these new pics at least for this part of the helmet are still kind of useless.
